Coach James Zigler Sr. is the founder of Tier 1 Football Academy, a football development program built to help athletes grow in skill, confidence, discipline, leadership, and opportunity. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and now living and raising his family in Erie, Pennsylvania, Coach Zigler’s life and coaching journey are rooted in toughness, resilience, and a deep understanding of what young athletes need to overcome adversity.

Growing up with a challenging background and experiencing the realities of limited access to high-quality coaching and development, Coach Zigler developed a passion for helping athletes who may have talent, but need structure, mentorship, and the right environment to reach their potential.
